Viana to Logroño July 14, 2015, 18.3 km 27,227 steps
We woke up this morning and Leea said I kept her up last night with my snoring. I was appalled, I am that person, that keeps people up in the Albergue. OMG, I walked in shame all day. She said I should stop being so dramatic, it was only one night. But I just knew all the other pilgrims from our room were glaring at me. Oh, woe is me. I'll be consigned to private rooms. I spent the morning wanting to thrash myself with reeds or something, maybe my water tube.

While we were getting ready to leave, I got some café con leche from the machine, except it seems the machine had run out of coffee. So I put one of my Starbucks Via instant Italian Roast packets in it. I thought it tasted fine. Leea took a sip and almost spit it out. She said it tasted nasty and that I was trying to poison her.
So the morning was not off to a good start. Luckily the hotel bar across the street from the Albergue was open and provided a very Spanish breakfast for a very reasonable price. Fortified and caffeinated we start our trek to Logroño. It was pretty smooth, not a lot of hills the weather was nice. The mornings have been pleasantly cool. It starts getting hot about one and builds until evening. It was 97 degrees at five this afternoon.
On the way into Logroño, we got our stamp from Maria then visited my favorite cemetery. I love cemeteries which are strange because I don't want to be buried in one. Anyway, we strolled around and I showed Leea my very favorite grave marker. It is a tribute from a son to his mother. We used the restroom and sat on a bench for a while. It was restful.
